Job Summary

As a Warehouse Personnel at The North West Company, you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations and activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This includes performing inbound receiving functions, unloading and loading trailers, building and sorting product to and from pallets, and moving product to proper outbound holding locations for shipping. You will also be responsible for operating handheld scanners/computers and assisting in warehouse/receiving duties as assigned. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inbound receiving functions, including unloading and loading trailers, building and sorting product to and from pallets
Move product to proper outbound holding locations for shipping
Operate handheld scanners/computers
Assist in warehouse/receiving duties as assigned
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience, including shipping and receiving, is required
Ability to work quickly and efficiently to complete responsibilities and consistently meet production requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with a forklift, high stacker, order picker, and/or electric pallet jack is an asset
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team or independently
