Job Summary

The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Primary Care Nurse, you will work collaboratively with our team to assess and engage new clients, develop and implement care plans, and participate in team and case management meetings.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative health clinic, providing primary and specialty care to patients in the Downtown Eastside community. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care and improving the health outcomes of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and engage new clients, developing and implementing care plans in consultation with the healthcare team
  • Participate in team and case management meetings to ensure comprehensive care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide wrap-around healthcare services
  • Document assessments and care plans in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements

  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or RPN registrant
  • Two years' recent related experience working with diverse marginalized populations in healthcare settings or community
  • Completion of the Point of Care HIV Testing course and successful completion of the BCCDC Immunization certificate and Narcan Certification
  • BCCDC Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Management certification
