We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Marjolaine Dion C.O. et RH as a Senior Kitchen Supervisor.
About the JobThis permanent position offers a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, based on industry standards in Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, planning menus, estimating food requirements, requisitioning food and supplies, and maintaining inventory records.
A strong background in cooking and management is essential, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position also requires reliability, dependability, and a strong commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with free parking available on site.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals for residents in a retirement home setting
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field (not required but an asset)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook or chef in a similar setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and dependability
