This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Athletic Therapist at Movati Athletic. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting injury prevention, facilitating recovery, and optimizing performance for our members.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional Athletic Therapy services to meet the diverse needs of new and existing clients, building and sustaining relationships with new and existing Club members.
- Ensure that all Athletic Therapy presentations and fitness assessments are delivered in accordance with set standards and protocols.
- Conduct Athletic Therapy sessions, maintaining engagement, offering clients suggestions, motivation, and feedback throughout the session.
- Ensure that new Club members are scheduled for initial Athletic Therapy consultations in a timely manner and that existing Athletic Therapy clients are scheduled for retests every three months.
- Develop and implement training methods and techniques that conform to standardized Club training practices and training plans tailored to reflect the personal goals, limitations, and health concerns of each Athletic Therapy client.
- Provide appropriate treatment for clients based on their needs, goals, and preferences, evaluating and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Science, or a related field.
- Certification as an Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) is required. Additional certifications or workshops related to health, wellness, and fitness are strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of related Athletic Therapy experience is required. 1 year of sales experience is an asset.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of injuries, disease, nutrition, and any conditions that may affect one's ability to perform exercise is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of athletic therapy and the prevention, assessment, and treatment of athletic injuries.
