Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at AVL Construction Group Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement of traffic at or near our construction sites.

Responsibilities
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Collaborate with our team to maintain a safe and efficient work site, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to client needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in traffic control and construction safety.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification and Traffic Control Signage (TCS) Certification.
  • First Aid Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to dust, cold, and refrigerated conditions.
