Commercial Ventilation Sheet Metal Supervisor

At Riverstone Management, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Ventilation Sheet Metal Foreperson to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of commercial ventilation systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Review project contractual documents to ensure scope of work is accurately defined.
- Collaborate with the detailing team to review project shop drawings and ensure compatibility.
- Manage the coordination of modeled ductwork with other trades, identifying conflicts and providing revisions as needed.
- Review and manage estimated man-hours, including breakdowns by floor/room.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, reviewing weekly hours on site versus estimated hours with management.
- Identify opportunities for LEAN improvements to project workflow and communicate with management.
- Order, receive, and stage HVAC equipment and accessories from off-site to project.
- Lay out, measure, and draw duct fittings for order, adhering to Lewis Sheet Metal Standards.
- 10 years of experience in sheet metal or HVAC.
- 5 years of experience as a foreperson or superintendent, managing at least 4 people.
- Valid driver's license and abstract.
- Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Autodesk software (AutoCAD, REVIT) is an asset.
- Criminal record check may be part of the hiring process.
- Highly organized with good project management skills.
- Takes ownership of material and equipment delivery dates, planning ahead to ensure timely delivery.
- Effective time management skills, able to self-direct and independently manage own workload.
- Demonstrates professional care and commitment to quality work.
- Enjoys contributing to solutions rather than just identifying problems.
- Holds other trades accountable to ensure the detailed model is maintained.
- Strives to continually improve their workflow and work environment.
