About the Role

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing SGRE EHS programs at various assigned wind farms under O&M contract. This role requires a high level of independence, collaboration with multiple areas of the organization, and the ability to motivate and inspire others in working towards a common goal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating overall planning of projects and deciding on allocation of resources.
  • Developing, proposing, and implementing function-specific EHS guidelines, processes, and/or methods.
  • Compiling and advising on instructions and regulations, ensuring effective communication to every employee concerned.
  • Planning the roll-out of Safety programs for the unit assigned.
  • Gathering data and analyzing respective statistics regarding success of EHS Management measures.
  • Supporting or preparing regular external reporting for Occupational Safety authorities, or for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining operational contact to external Safety authorities.
  • Keeping abreast with all respective regulations and standards.
  • Training management and employees on EHS topics.
  • Facilitating the investigation of EHS incidents in the assigned area.
  • Coordinating with customer and subcontractor representatives in EHS matters.
  • Providing on-site support to work locations, climbing turbines for inspections or investigations, coaching employees, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS Education field, Occupational Health, or similar.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience in EHS in the Wind Industry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with multiple areas of the organization.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others in working towards a common goal.
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience and comfortability with presenting in front of small and large groups.
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Travel required up to 50%.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
