Pinchin Ltd. is seeking a Technical Project Specialist to join our Building Science team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting building condition assessments, developing designs and specifications, and carrying out construction reviews.
About Us:
Pinchin Ltd. is a multidisciplinary consulting firm providing engineering, building sciences, geosciences, environmental, and occupational health and safety solutions across Canada and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct building and property condition assessments for due diligence and capital planning purposes
- Review and complete assessments of existing buildings and structures
- Carry out invasive building assessments and testing
- Develop designs and specifications for restoration projects
- Carry out construction reviews to ensure quality standards and design requirements are achieved
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Science, or related field
- Experience with building construction or maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and building envelope assemblies preferred
- Familiarity with UniFormat and asset management software an asset
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to read technical specifications, drawings, and reports
