Your Role as Senior React Developer

You'll be an experienced developer who drives technical direction across multiple teams, owning the technical roadmap for delivering scalable distributed services and applications. As a leader, you'll build up team members' technical competencies and shape the company's technical vision.

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Senior React Developer who wants to grow into the Staff Developer role. If you're passionate about solving complex problems that drive real-world impact, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with talented engineers to deliver high-quality code and tackle challenging engineering problems.
  • As a hands-on technical leader, you'll manage senior stakeholders, help find solutions, and contribute to Agile artifacts.
  • Partner with peers across Engineering, Product Management, and Design to drive cross-functional project delivery and address technical and resourcing challenges.
  • Mentor and guide the professional development of Frontend Engineers, helping them develop their skills and abilities.
  • Support a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful culture, providing continuous feedback and technical guidance to your peers and other developers.
  • Instill a spirit of continuous improvement in the team's code, architecture, and processes.
  • In collaboration with Product Managers, Test Managers, and Engineers, maintain a prioritized backlog to maximize delivery.
  • Help your team build relationships with Support, Operations, Test, and other teams to ensure Global Relay's success.
  • Acknowledge and advocate for information security and secure coding practices.

About You

  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of software development experience shipping enterprise-grade software using multiple languages and frameworks.
  • Motivation to grow and build upon the Senior React Developer role, striving to become a Staff Developer.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management and finding pragmatic solutions to maximize delivery.
  • Experience building and managing large, highly scalable distributed services, complex databases, microservices, and APIs in service- and resource-oriented architectures.
  • Understanding of modern frameworks and techniques for building web application user interfaces.
  • Lead a team of talented Frontend Engineers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problems.
  • Experience working hand-in-hand with UI/UX to ensure design vision is delivered.
  • Experience with React, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, Big Data technology, and Security in an enterprise environment.

Compensation

Global Relay offers a competitive compensation package, including an annual base salary range of $90,000-$130,000 CAD. In addition to the salary, you'll receive a corporate bonus, extended health benefits, RRSP matching, and an enticing commission structure (for applicable Sales roles).
