We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Liquor Store Assistant Manager to join our team at Otter Co-op. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in directing the day-to-day store operations and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Liquor Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and management in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the store team to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked and merchandised, with a focus on providing an exceptional shopping experience for our guests.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Participate in periodic inventory and ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in retail management, preferably in the liquor industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Valid Serving it Right Certificate and WSET 1 or 2 designation an asset.
  • Strong passion for the liquor industry and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage computer files efficiently.
  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
