Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist

RONA Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Protection and Safety department, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our hazardous materials and environmental compliance program across all locations in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain hazardous materials and environmental compliance programs to ensure regulatory compliance and resolve related issues.
  • Work with various teams to address issues and ensure company compliance with policies and procedures as well as government regulations.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal programs for all store, supply chain, and corporate locations and ensure program compliance.
  • Research, develop, and implement program issues and enhancements.
  • Resolve vendor service issues and manage compliance reporting metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a position involving health and safety, environmental compliance, or hazardous waste.
  • Proven communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, resourcefulness, and initiative.
