The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Platform Services Manager to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Azure Cloud Expertise: Design and manage Azure resources across environments, leveraging Infrastructure as Code tools such as Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
- CI/CD and Automation: Build and maintain Continuous Delivery pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML required) and develop automation scripts using shell scripting and one or more programming languages (Python, TypeScript, Go).
- Site Reliability Engineering: Implement observability solutions for monitoring, tracing, and performance analysis and troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in Azure environments.
- Security and Networking: Apply robust security practices, including access controls and encryption, leveraging Azure Key Vault and related services and demonstrate a strong understanding of networking concepts, including Virtual Networks and traffic management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and QA teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions and document processes and provide mentorship on best practices in cloud engineering and DevOps.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing Azure resources and application development process in production environments.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, including pipeline creation and management.
- Expertise in configuring Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, and Key Vault.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Azure Application Insights).
- Solid understanding of networking principles and traffic management.
