We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our team as a Audiology Specialist - Pediatric Hearing Loss Management. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the RoleThe Audiologist will be responsible for providing direct audiologic diagnostic assessment, habilitation services, and surveillance of high-risk children. The role also involves administrative duties in accordance with protocols and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, the Infant Hearing Program, and Western University.
Responsibilities- Provide hearing assessments, including otoacoustic emission, tympanometry, and auditory brainstem response (ABR) assessment to identify hearing impairment.
- Habilitate children with hearing loss through hearing aid evaluation, prescription, and fitting, as well as educating families on amplification devices' care and maintenance.
- Surveil infants at risk of developing Permanent Hearing Loss (PHL), counsel families, and collaborate with service providers to support care delivery.
- Masters degree in Audiology or related field.
- Current license and good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a clinical Audiologist.
- Experience with audiologic assessment and management of children with hearing loss.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
- Registered as a hearing aid authorizer and dispenser through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP).
- Skill to use audiometer, middle ear analyzer, auditory evoked potential equipment, otoacoustic emission equipment, hearing aid analyzer, computer programming and software for various hearing aid manufacturers.
