We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at Nursing & Homemakers Inc. as an Oral Health Care Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing patients for dental examinations, supervising dental assistants, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
  • Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions
  • Maintain and order dental instruments and equipment
  • Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
  • Maintain and order supplies
  • Perform reception and clerical duties
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
  • Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
  • Supervise students in training
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Take and develop X-rays
  • Record dental procedures performed on patients
  • Invoice patients for dental services
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1-2 years of experience in a dental practice
  • Healing arts radiation protection (HARP) Certification
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position in a fast-paced dental practice environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.
