Transportation Operations Manager

Panex Courier is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our freight company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management and be able to effectively plan, coordinate, and execute the movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor department performance and identify areas for improvement
- Plan for changes to schedules and policies to ensure efficient operations
- Prepare reports for senior management to track key performance indicators
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing team
- Manage finances and budget to ensure cost-effective operations
- Arrange for shipping documentation and track goods in transit
- Ensure compliance with regulations and establish policies for transportation and storage
- Negotiate services and rates with suppliers
- Oversee scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- 1-2 years of experience in transportation management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Accurate and organized with a focus on attention to detail
