About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrap Metal Processor to join our team at GLOBAL METAL SOURCES CO., LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Set up, prepare, and adjust processing machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Material Handling: Transport raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant, and sort, stack, bundle, and stamp materials as required.
  • Training and Support: Provide job training and support to new team members, and assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean machines and immediate work areas, and ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Transportation: Load and unload vehicles using a forklift or dolly, and ensure all materials are properly secured and transported.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated work conditions.
  • Work Setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer.
Security and Safety
  • Criminal Record Check: Required.
Transportation/Travel Information
  • Own Transportation: Required.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Required.
