Third Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Engineer to join our team at Bridgemans Services Group. As a Third Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on our floatel.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Assist in carrying out routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of machinery and equipment, including lubrication, filter changes, and system checks.
- Machinery Operation: Monitor and operate machinery and systems, including propulsion, power generation, HVAC, plumbing, and auxiliary systems, and report any abnormalities or issues promptly to the Second Engineer.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, and participate in safety drills and training sessions to maintain readiness for emergencies.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance and repair activities, and maintain an organized and tidy inventory area.
- Education and Certifications: Relevant technical education and certifications in marine engineering or a related field, including STCW Reg. III/1 officer in charge of an engineering watch and STCW Reg. VI/1 safety familiarization.
- Experience: 2-3 years of previous experience as a third engineer or in a similar role within the maritime industry, preferably onboard a cruise ship or other passenger vessel.
- Skills: Good communication and teamwork abilities, ability to clear a drug and alcohol test, and excellent comprehension and command of the English language.
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
