About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure the optimal availability of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for mobile maintenance activities.
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of maintenance trends and variances.
  • Monitor stock inventory levels and non-stock orders to ensure proper site levels.
  • Provide weekly or bi-weekly reports for designated areas.
  • Update job packages and job scopes for upcoming work.
  • Participate in or lead maintenance meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Issue work orders in accordance with production requirements and resource availability.
  • Plan, organize, and implement effective maintenance policies and procedures within the Maintenance department.
  • Ensure coordination between mine operations and maintenance crews.
  • Interpret mid-to-long-term plans and translate them into a day-to-day maintenance schedule to meet those plans.
  • Establish equipment criticality and technical status for assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and track major component changes, wear items, service hour variance, equipment utilization, and damages.
  • Upkeep of equipment repair and maintenance history records.
  • Track and communicate equipment purchases, rentals, returns, and transfers.
  • Ensure all equipment has proper inspections, registrations, and additional requirements are satisfied as per SSR Mining policies and government regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and tools used to resolve issues arising from the dynamics of an expanding equipment fleet.
  • Monitor all warranty programs to ensure warranty work is claimed in a timely manner and all warranty issues are resolved.

About You:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Planner with a strong background in maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination. You will have a high degree of knowledge of underground and surface mining mobile equipment and processing equipment maintenance. You will also have strong computer literacy, including intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills.

Requirements:

  • Interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic trade certification would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience working as a planner.

Working Conditions:

This position has a schedule of Monday to Thursday at our remote camp, which you will be required to fly in and out of with pick-up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
