Investment Specialist Role

As a seasoned Investment Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and deepening client relationships by providing high-quality investment advice and service within the mass affluent market. You will leverage your external networks and centres of influence to drive business growth and deliver exceptional client experiences.

You will excel at building new relationships and enjoy the flexibility of meeting clients outside of the office, on a schedule that best suits you and your clients. Your primary focus will be on providing investment and financial planning advice to help clients meet their unique goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive investment sales and new client acquisition while adhering to Global Sales Principles, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area.
  • Promote the development and sustainable growth of proprietary investment business in the assigned market area.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales.
  • Current accreditation and good standing for MFDA licensing requirements (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Actively working towards a Financial Planning designation.
  • Proven networking, client acquisition, and interpersonal skills; experience building and maintaining Centres of Influence (COIs).
  • Extensive knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, to meet clients and prospects within the designated district.
