Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires a skilled Millwright to maintain, repair, and install equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical trades, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery, and assist in the installation of new filling, packaging machinery and processing equipment.
  • Develop and implement Planned Maintenance Programs to ensure reliable and cost-effective performance of all processing, filling, packaging equipment.
  • Requisition materials and parts necessary to maintain machinery and equipment, and assist in determining spare parts stock levels.
  • Prepare job material lists and perform job costing regarding material and labor requirements.
  • Work in conjunction with and assist any resources assigned to jobs throughout the plant, and be willing to accept call-ins.
  • Attend training courses/seminars as required to maintain technical skill level as related to mechanical trade, equipment and processes in use.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, paying special attention to hazards to which production personnel may be susceptible.
Requirements
  • College diploma with a relevant specialization.
  • Industrial Millwright license required.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably 2 – 3 years or more related to the packaged goods industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
