Senior Director of Operations Job Description

About the Role:

The Senior Director of Operations will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of operational strategies that drive efficiency and support business growth at Joe Johnson Equipment Edmonton. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and collaborate with various levels of management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline processes and achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and assess performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors to identify, develop, and execute on company-wide strategies.
  • Assess the performance and challenges of operational teams and provide analysis and recommendations to the Executive team.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and drive the implementation of best-practice initiatives.
  • Partner with Regional Directors and key stakeholders to manage process issues, develop teams, and align with company objectives.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in an operational management role within the field of a Heavy, Industrial, or Agricultural equipment dealership.
  • Proven success in leading and managing multiple branches/teams in meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office and dealer management software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of parts and equipment repair processes.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on team development and growth.
