About the Opportunity

Egis Canada is a leading consulting and engineering firm that is experiencing substantial growth in North America. We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Transportation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and draft engineering/construction drawings for various projects.
  • Interpret and implement standards from regulatory bodies.
  • Produce written reports for projects.
  • Produce design spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Create plans, profiles, and 3-D drawings.
  • Enhance data charts and tables for presentation.
  • Produce and modify drawings.
  • Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest design tools and aids in CAD/civil 3D/InRoads in consultation with senior CAD staff.
Requirements
  • Completion of a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Experience in consulting and construction would be an asset.
  • Practical experience working in CAD would be an asset.
  • Well-developed computer and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency working with CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the field on construction projects would be an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work with engineers on multidisciplinary development projects.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
