About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Processing Supervisor to join our team at Portuguese Cheese Company Limited. As a key member of our dairy production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our dairy products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members
    • Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
    • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
  • Quality Assurance and Control
    • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory requirements
    • Implement and maintain effective quality control measures to prevent contamination and ensure product safety
  • Production Planning and Scheduling
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units
    • Prepare production reports and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with CIP (Cleaning In Place) and SIP (Sanitizing in Place) Systems
    • Implement and maintain effective systems for high temperature short time (HTST) pasteurization processing
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 5 years or more of experience in food and beverage processing, or equivalent experience
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluency in English

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. The work site environment is cold/refrigerated, and the work setting is dairy production.
