Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Denny's Fort St John. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and stored, and assisting with food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, including refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Plateware and Supplies: Receive, unpack, and store supplies, including food, cleaning products, and paper goods.
  • Trash and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that recycling is properly sorted and stored.
  • General Kitchen Duties: Assist with general kitchen duties, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, and sharpening kitchen knives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, initiative, dependability, and positive attitude.
