We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Food and Beverage team as a Steward. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests
  • Follow food and beverage policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Remove garbage and compost from kitchen areas
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas
  • Supply equipment requirements for kitchen and outlets
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Adhere to hotel vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles

Requirements:

  • Previous food and beverage experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Working Environment:

  • Standing: 6-8 hours/day
  • Sitting: 0-1 hour/day
  • Walking: 6-8 hours/day
  • Bending/reaching: 6-8 hours/day
  • Pushing/pulling: 6-8 hours/day
  • Physical effort: high – required to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Environmental stress: high - hot, loud, work with chemicals and hot water, must be willing to get hands dirty
