At Linamar Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector - Level 1 to join our team. As a Quality Inspector - Level 1, you will be responsible for inspecting products and assisting with quality audits. Your primary focus will be on testing and sampling raw materials and incoming products to ensure compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First off inspection, receiving inspection, in process inspection.
  • Product and LPA audits.
  • Utilize manual gauging and operate CMM as needed.
  • Inspecting incoming material per receiving inspection requirements.
  • Sorting of product based on visual aids.
  • Completion of necessary forms and paperwork.
  • Understand TS processes for nonconforming material, identification, and inspection processes.
  • All other assignments necessary to support internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to all H&S, environmental laws and procedures.
  • May measure or weigh products to assess conformity to quality standards requiring basic math skills.
  • Use technical skills and knowledge to identify cause of problem.
  • Use computer applications to monitor quality.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent general education.
  • Previous Machining experience.
  • Knowledge of Histograms, X and R charts, Cpk.
  • Familiar with TS-16949 requirements considered an asset.
  • Able to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings in addition to GDT.
  • Able to use measuring equipment effectively, micrometers, verniers, height and bore gauges.
