Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Director to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing production and end-user support and governance for the risk technical platform and system environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Risk Governance: Ensure the proper handling of trades in Counterparty Credit Risk systems, and propose and implement changes to facilitate new business.
  • Lead BA and Testing: Help to organize and participate in the testing cycles of the Counterparty Credit Risk systems releases.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Collaborate with trading, line of business, risk oversight, analytic, model team and operations to ensure the proper handling of trades.
  • Develop and Implement Solutions: Propose and implement changes to facilitate new business, and provide assistance and guidance on investigations related to system level issues.
  • Monitor and Track Performance: Monitor and track performance, and address any issues that may arise.
  • Support Data Reconciliation: Support the data reconciliation / provisioning processes between core risk systems.
  • Verify and Monitor Changes: Perform verification and monitoring activities for all changes implemented in the production environments.
  • Develop and Maintain Documentation: Support the development and maintenance of system and process documentation / process controls / knowledge assets required for the operation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Typically between 5 - 8 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and Experience: In-depth knowledge of risk system management concepts and applications, in-depth knowledge & experience with risk policy frameworks; quality control / testing frameworks, omics, experience with Counterparty Credit Risk systems, knowledge of Python platform.
  • Skills: Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience, data driven decision making - In-depth.
