Millwright - Night Shift - Kitchener Area

We are seeking a skilled Millwright/Mechanic to join our team in the Kitchener area. This is a permanent night shift position, working 11:00pm to 7:30am, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, repairs, and system improvements to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and identify replacement parts.
- Assist on-site contractors as required and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Document and maintain details of inspections and participate in ongoing cross-training and multi-skilling activities.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, and operate hoisting and lifting devices.
- Rebuild and/or overhaul machinery and equipment as required.
- Industrial Millwright (433A) certification - Inter Provincial/Red Seal or Ontario.
- 5+ years of experience in an automated industrial production environment performing mechanical maintenance of plant equipment.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance in a food processing environment.
- Competent in SMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes.
- Good knowledge of oral and written English and Mathematics.
- Working knowledge of OHSA standards and regulations.
- Any PLC troubleshooting or program editing experience is an asset.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a cool/cold environment and will be required to work assigned shifts and overtime to meet customer needs.
