About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Learning Assistant to join our team at Pumpkin House Childcare Center. As an Early Childhood Learning Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist early childhood educators in developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent.

Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of passionate and dedicated professionals who are committed to providing high-quality care and education to our children.
