Experienced Operations Coordinator Position for Automotive Repair Team

Craftsman Collision, a leading Canadian auto body repair chain, is seeking an Operations Trainee to join our team of over 500 professionals. As an ambitious and driven individual, you will have the opportunity to grow with our company while making a meaningful impact in the Okanagan region.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, including 3 weeks of paid vacation. You will be responsible for supporting multiple locations by providing leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure efficient and effective shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service both internally and externally, striving to continuously improve the customer experience;
- Support daily operations by providing leadership to meet stakeholder objectives in a safe, effective, and positive manner;
- Maintain alignment with The Craftsman Way (TCW) in managing shop operations;
- Provide vacation coverage as required under the direction of the regional operations manager;
- Utilize the company dashboard to accurately identify and prioritize tasks;
- Participate actively in daily production meetings;
- Promote professional relationships with all stakeholders;
- Prepare estimates and schedules repairs as needed;
- Enter parts and sublet invoices into the Craftsman Management System as required;
- Apply expert knowledge of insurance/fleet specific policies and procedures;
- Contribute to daily production, workflow, and quality control of the shop;
- Embark on initiatives that reduce effort and increase touch time, thus reducing vehicle days in shop;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote consistent application within the Company;
- Propose training needs based on observations;
- Identify suggestions for continuous process improvement;
- Sustain company standards in SPARKLE, safety, and security;
- Represent and promote the Craftsman Collision brand in a positive manner aligned with stated values in all dealings internal and external;
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered;
- Working towards I-CAR Platinum certification is an asset;
- Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and listening skills, combined with the ability to interact and gain support from senior leadership and other decision-makers;
- Display a well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Exhibit time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills;
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude;
- Proficient in Outlook and video conferencing platforms with the ability and willingness to learn new applications;
- Show a demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development;
- Express interest in vehicles and the automotive industry;
- Knowledge and proficiency in ADAS systems, vehicle calibrations, and emerging vehicle technologies are assets;
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years;
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
