We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at ROCKWOOL Group in Milton, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety and effectiveness of your respective shift, as well as communication and collaboration within the production department to achieve optimum output from the production unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the manufacturing of quality products as efficiently as possible, in accordance with the production plan and schedule.
- Participate in the daily schedule planning call and ensure all relevant information is passed on during shift change.
- Ensure Environmental compliance by completing the daily Environmental checklists as required.
- Manage the workforce within the context of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Conduct performance reviews quarterly as required.
- Ensure Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings are attended on time, providing accurate and up-to-date information to drive the business forward.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of production supervisor experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant.
- Strong experience working with automated systems/conveyors.
- Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Mechanical background.
- Good people development and training skills.
- Strong experience with MS Office products, such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and SAP.
