Financial and Consumer Marketplace Regulation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in the Securities Division. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the Canadian Securities Administrators' (CSA) National Systems Renewal Program (NSRP). This program aims to modernize and improve the efficiency of the regulatory systems used by the Commission and its partners.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing in-house systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory processes, and supporting business requirements for system development and enhancements. You will also conduct data analysis, generate custom reports, and act as a business analyst for other regulated sectors.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor and optimize in-house systems to ensure they meet the changing needs of the business.
2. Liaise with IT on technical enhancements and organizational change management to support the NSRP project.
3. Develop requirements specification documents, including business, functional and system requirements, with lead.
4. Conduct data analysis and generate custom reports to support business decisions.
5. Act as a business analyst for other regulated sectors, providing advice and guidance on regulatory systems and processes.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst who can bring their expertise to our team. You should have a strong background in business analysis, with a focus on regulatory systems and processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with stakeholders at all levels.
Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a university degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field. You should have 5+ years of business analysis experience, with a demonstrated ability to work independently. 5+ years of system development experience is required. Strong planning and communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to explain technical topics and/or issues to non-technical users are essential.
