About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Portfolio Analysts and Project Control Officers in tracking project budget, enforcing PMO governance rules, and supporting project managers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an action plan for the team, aligning with the company's strategic orientations and performance management goals.
  • Implement management and communication practices that promote sound governance, skills development, and talent retention.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Coach and support Project Control Officers and Portfolio Analysts, implementing and following up on individual development plans.
  • Optimize resource assignment and allocation to ensure synergy and improve workload distribution.
  • Drive the development and delivery of an appropriate PCO framework.
  • Lead the PMO governance rules enforcement as part of IT project delivery.
  • Ensure the sound application of common processes for the PCOs.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement and optimization in all areas of responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with Portfolio managers and IT Finance teams to achieve transformation and eliminate duplication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Drive the creation of strategies to facilitate project budget control processes covering IT and Labs.
Requirements
  • Possess a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
  • Hold a PMP certification, which is a strong asset.
  • Have 5-10 years of experience in managing and supporting professionals.
  • Have knowledge of PMO governance rules.
  • Be able to model financials and discuss them with non-financial colleagues.
  • Be adaptable to an evolving environment.
  • Have the ability to influence and challenge the status quo.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
