Job Title: Tile Setter

Cross Creek Contracting Inc is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation
  • Mix and apply adhesives
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Estimate costs and materials
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling required
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination necessary
  • Accurate, client-focused, and reliable individual
