Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including testing and adjusting systems, repairing or replacing parts, and estimating costs for repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and components, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Test and diagnose automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Estimate parts and labor costs for repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Ability to work in a dirty and noisy environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
