The Role

  1. We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Manager to join our team. This role will involve managing R&D activities and resources for new product development.
  2. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering and be responsible for company products and processes.
  3. This position requires searching for opportunities for new products, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
  4. The R&D Manager will develop individual R&D projects and actively support R&D projects of other teams.
  5. This role involves managing R&D activities and resources for the new products and processes development.
  6. The R&D Manager will search for opportunities of company products, technologies, and manufacturing processes improvement.
  7. This position requires supporting design, project, tooling, manufacturing, and quality engineers for product problems identification and analysis.
  8. The R&D Manager will participate in design review meetings for product design issues detection and elimination.
  9. This role requires supporting product design development with design evaluations and recommendations of optimal design solutions.
  10. The R&D Manager will continuously develop detailed knowledge and expertise in current core company products or future products.
  11. This position involves sharing related expertise and experience with respective engineering teams.
  12. The R&D Manager will support sales, design, and project engineers with new product concepts and illustrations.
  13. This role requires promoting, encouraging, and actively supporting engineering creativity and inventiveness improvement in the organization.
  14. The R&D Manager will benchmark vehicles and other products.
  15. This position involves leading and delivering customer presentations, showcasing company innovations, products, and services.

Job Description

  • Develop individual R&D projects and actively support R&D projects of other teams.
  • Manage R&D activities and resources for new product development.
  • Search for opportunities for new products, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support design, project, tooling, manufacturing, and quality engineers for product problems identification and analysis.
  • Participate in design review meetings for product design issues detection and elimination.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in automotive plastics.
  • An Engineering Degree (Mechanical preferred).
  • A strong understanding of plastics molding & decoration methods.
  • Extensive knowledge of and ability to perform a broad range of engineering responsibilities associated with R&D project development.
  • May have an industrial design background.
  • Possesses an excellent work ethic: Highly self-motivated, self-driven, ability to multitask.
  • Is creative and forward-thinking.
  • Is capable of working simultaneously on multiple projects and in a team environment.
