Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at B.C. LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction techniques and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
