We are a leading construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects. As a Construction Specialist - Structural Ironwork, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position that requires the installation of scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to facilitate the construction process. The ideal candidate should have experience in reading blueprints, performing job-site calculations, and aligning, welding or bolting units in place.

Responsibilities
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access for construction teams;
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements;
  • Perform job-site calculations to ensure accurate placement of materials;
  • Align, weld or bolt units in place to maintain structural integrity;
  • Dismantle metal, pre-cast concrete, or laminated timber buildings and structures as required;
  • Inspect and test structures and equipment for deterioration, defects, or failure to comply with regulations;
  • Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce structures;
  • Unload and position steel units for hoisting as needed;
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • At least 1 month but less than 7 months of experience in ironworking;
  • Equivalent experience may be considered;
