At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Duty Medical Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Job SummaryThe General Duty Medical Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. This includes operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent
- Operate imaging equipment, including adjusting settings and ensuring optimal image quality
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services
- Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Fluent language skills in both French and English (written and oral)
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to radiation and other hazards. A high level of physical fitness and mental stamina is required to perform the duties of this role.
