About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Halo Pharmaceutical Canada Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust IT infrastructure, ensuring the efficient operation of the network, and providing top-notch support and administration to our teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain a reliable IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
  • Network Management: Ensure the efficient operation of the network, including network architecture design, integration, and installation of IT equipment, and interfacing with external support as needed.
  • Support and Administration: Provide all aspects of support and administration for computer networks, including advanced troubleshooting of desktops, servers, and network communication devices, SAN administration, VMware administration, software/hardware installation and troubleshooting, user account and database administration, and end-user support in a Windows environment.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce best security practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Planning and Incident Management: Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, and lead infrastructure-related projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent technical certification.
  • Between 5 to 7 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, preferably within a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), storage solutions, and server management (Windows and Linux).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are an asset.
  • Experience in programming or scripting is desirable.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
