About the Role

The Module Advanced Development RF Engineer is a critical position within the Optical Modules Group at Infinera. This role requires a highly skilled engineer to design and develop high-speed optoelectronic modules, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design complex RF structures for high-speed optoelectronic modules
  • Develop test vehicles for evaluating performance
  • Test setup and data analysis
  • Collaborate with vendors and process teams to fabricate designs
  • Design verification testing

Requirements

  • M.S. (Ph.D. desired) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience with RF design and testing, with expertise in optical transmitter and receiver modules for telecom
  • Industrial experience and a proven track record of taking products from early design and development to volume manufacture
  • Experience with RF design and simulation tools such as HFSS and ADS
  • Familiarity with high-speed RF test equipment and methods
  • In-depth technical understanding of optoelectronic components and ASICs
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
