Job Description

CS GROUP is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for testing and validating complex software applications embedded on aerospace or defense systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and validation, with experience in languages such as ADA, C, or C++. You will be responsible for:

  • Retro-engineering design from code
  • Carrying out software testing (unit or integration) on complex software functions
  • Developing and running relevant tests on test platforms to verify correctness of design
  • Debugging issues raised during the software development cycle in application software
  • Ensuring traceability between all software design and tests artefacts
  • Conducting independent peer reviews on design, code, or tests produced by other team members
  • Drafting all final technical documents
  • Providing clear status and workload to direct supervisors
  • Participating in continuous improvement of team performance (quality, efficiency, on-time delivery)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in languages ADA, C, or C++
  • Associate Degree in Engineer, Computer Science, or related field
  • Interest in troubleshooting complex software problems
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills, team-player
  • Curiosity, autonomy, pro-activity, and ability to find solutions and compromises
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in testing tools such as LDRA or VectorCAST or equivalent
  • Experience in GreenHills Tools is a plus
  • S. degree in Electrical or Computing Science or equivalent
  • Basics in DO-178B or C or equivalent standard
  • Basics in communication protocols CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN
