Job Title: Senior Research Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate to join our team at The Goddard School of Rochester Hills, MI.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent studies of high molecular weight proteins, including molecular biology and sample preparation. They will also be involved in the development of software for the assignment of methyl correlations to specific sites in proteins using a combination of different NMR techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent studies of high molecular weight proteins, including molecular biology and sample preparation.
  • Develop software for the assignment of methyl correlations to specific sites in proteins using a combination of different NMR techniques.
  • Train students and post-doctoral fellows in NMR spectroscopy and molecular biology.
  • Implement new experimental techniques in the laboratory.
  • Collaborate with researchers to design and conduct experiments.
Requirements:
  • PhD degree with 4 years or more post-doctoral experience.
  • Demonstrated publication record in the fields of structural biology, NMR spectroscopy, and studies of very large proteins by NMR.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to write high-quality first drafts of manuscripts.
  • Strong background in molecular biology and protein purification.
