We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer to join our team at Saint-Gobain in Edmonton, Canada. As a Junior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in standardizing and documenting processes throughout our manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) project teams to analyze process variations and identify losses.
  • Creating assembly and process flow charts for manufacturing activities.
  • Designing and developing new process systems, revising existing processes, and coordinating projects to improve plant profitability.
  • Creating work instructions for manufacturing activities.
  • Monitoring program cost activity to achieve an "in budget" result.
  • Identifying and analyzing inefficiencies in the manufacturing process to ensure early detection and resolution.
  • Assessing processes for their effectiveness.
  • Monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes.
  • Ensuring that new and current equipment and processes comply with federal and provincial regulations.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in engineering, preferably in a mechanical or equivalent field. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a process engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment is required. Lean Manufacturing experience is an asset. If you have a proven track record of creating and executing project plans that achieve identified targets, excellent planning and organizational skills, and effective verbal and written communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
