Job Summary:

The Warehouseperson A-3 role at IKO Industries Ltd. is a critical position that requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Safely operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification, and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload trucks, pick and sort stock using a forklift, and identify product locations in the yard and warehouse using the FIFO system.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure accurate loading and unloading of materials, and guide truck drivers to safely load and unload materials.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts as required, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and movements.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve warehouse and logistics goals, and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience operating a forklift and working in a warehouse or material handling environment preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid forklift certification class 1 license required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
