We are seeking an experienced senior Java developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, create, and implement various Java-based solutions for the business that will range from mobile applications to database programming.
In accordance with law, the estimated annual salary for this position is CAD $120k - $125k, plus benefits. You will be responsible for implementing code for proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and prototypes to validate and support solution architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and industry best practices.
You will establish and maintain performance management controls and metrics, providing detailed insights and analytics to identify areas for optimization and enhancement. You will translate these into well-defined architectural specifications that guide the design and implementation of the solution.
As a senior Java developer, you will lead the design, implementation, unit testing, and debugging of applications using various programming languages, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices in software development.
You will create comprehensive technical specifications for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, configuring and customizing products in accordance with those specifications to meet business needs.
Maintaining an in-depth understanding of functionality and solution architecture, you will continuously update your knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.
The required skills and qualifications include:
- Programming Languages: Java (Java 11), JavaScript
- Frameworks: Spring (including Spring Boot), Angular, React
- Databases: Oracle, MS-SQL, NoSQL (preferred)
- Big Data Technologies: Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JSON
- Software Development Experience: Over 8+ years in software development with a focus on project delivery
- Software Development Methodologies: Proficient in Agile practices and tools
- UNIX, Linux; Project Management: Experience in managing software project delivery
