About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing child welfare services including intake, assessment, and clinical intervention with children and their families. They will conduct investigations, provide emergency services, make applications to the court, and ensure that the needs of children living either in their own homes or in care are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations and provide emergency services to protect vulnerable children and youth
  • Assess the needs of children and families, and develop and implement plans to address these needs
  • Collaborate with other staff, agencies, and professionals to provide comprehensive services to children and families
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, as required by law and agency policy
Requirements
  • Diploma in Social Work (S.S.W.) or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Social Work (B.S.W./M.S.W.)
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with OPCF6A Insurance endorsement
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector check, Clear Internal Records Check, and Clean Driver's Abstract
