Position Overview:

Woodstock Hospital is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide psychosocial assessments and treatment for first responders as part of our innovative mental health stepped-care model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans for first responders
  • Provide individual and group therapy services, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and return to work support
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health and trauma-informed care

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent mental health experience
  • Excellent psychosocial assessment and treatment skills
  • Knowledgeable in mental health best practices and trauma-informed care
