Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Gilas Health Care Services Inc.

Job Summary

The Healthcare Support Worker will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including their rooms and common areas
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed
  • Answer call signals and respond to patients' needs in a timely manner
  • Collect specimens and administer first aid in emergency situations
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience an asset
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
