Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Technical Actuary Manager to lead our Technical Pricing team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to enhance accuracy and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Model Development: Build and maintain rate indication models to identify emerging trends and develop solutions for new technical challenges.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior actuaries, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to determine shared assumptions and improve Technical Pricing models.
  4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve tools and processes, leveraging new technology and a deep understanding of actuarial methodology.
  5. Project Execution: Effectively manage special projects, overseeing technical design, scope, timelines, and communications.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Math, or Statistics, or other related subjects.
  • Certifications: Minimum of 6 CAS exams / ACAS for Team Lead/Manager.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years/6 years of P&C work experience for Team Lead/Manager.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and mentor junior actuaries.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SAS. Knowledge of VBA is an asset.
